606 N. 4th Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85705
Revolutionary Grounds is a neat little coffee shop located right on 4th avenue. Besides serving coffee, they also have a bookstore in the mix. Even though Revolutionary Grounds is right on the 4th avenue strip, it can still be easily missed.
In a brick building, there’s a small window that displays the coffee shops name and you can barely see what’s going on inside. But once you find this little gem, you will probably find yourself going back again and again!
Revolutionary Grounds is a mini alternative bookstore. They usually carry a wide selection of progressive and leftist books.
If you’re looking for something in particular they can help you find it or if they don’t carry what you want, they can order it for you. Besides books, they sell cute accessories, such as buttons, stickers, calendars and t-shirts. As far as the coffee shop aspect, they have a variety of coffees, teas, sandwiches, salads, and desserts. All range from $10 and under.
Besides serving coffee and books, Revolutionary Grounds is very big on becoming more involved with the community. They host meetings, book clubs and other community events.
If anyone needs a spot to host a meeting, Revolutionary Grounds will gladly let you do it. They also have different events going on such as open mic night and even have a support group meeting called the “Rainbow Support Group” every Wednesday night.
Revolutionary Grounds hours are Monday-Tuesday and Thursday from 8am to 8pm, Wednesday from 8am to 9pm, Friday-Saturday from 8am to 10pm and Sunday from 9am to 8pm.
So, if you’re in the mood for some coffee and want a good book to read, head on down to 4th avenue and check out Revolutionary Grounds!
