Caruso’s Italian Restaurant
434 North 4th Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85705
Open since 1938, Caruso’s sells a variety of Italian food right on 4th avenue. This family owned restaurant has created new ways to serve good homemade food throughout the years. They are known for their sauces from the famous “big copper pot” which has been used for years.
You’ll know Carusos’s right away on the 4th avenue strip, when you see the vintage sign that displays their name and a metal fence that surrounds the building. Their outdoor patio is decorated with lights to enjoy a pleasant meal al fresco.
With their long history, they have received a lot of attention throughout the years from newspapers and T.V. Their staff is really friendly and there are a lot of Italian options to choose from.
One thing that I love to get there is the Spinach and Cheese Ravioli with creamy mushroom sauce. It’s perfect for me because it’s filling but doesn’t make you feel super stuffed.
They always serve a good amount of food and have a nice wine selection to enjoy with your dinner.
Caruso’s is closed on Mondays and open Tuesday-Thursday from 4:30pm to 10pm, Friday-Saturday from 4:30pm to 11pm and Sunday 4pm to 10pm.
Fourth Ave. has always been known for their small shops and bars, so it’s nice to see a big restaurant where you can kick back and enjoy a great meal.
Their prices are pretty affordable as well. So, if you’re in the mood from some homemade, Italian food, try Caruso’s and enjoy!
