Filled with amazing vintage finds, How Sweet It Was is one of my favorite thrift stores. I don’t know if it’s because of the cool clothing or the way it’s all set up, but either way I always have a fun time in that store!
Located on the 4th Avenue strip, you’ll see an iron made sign with the words, “How Sweet It Was”. They always have big bins set up outside the store where they put discounted vintage clothing. People are always rummaging through those bins and many find really cool stuff.
Besides the staff being really friendly, they also have years of experience and knowledge about each vintage item in their store. Did you know Tucson is one the best places in the country for Thrift shopping? We are known for our thrift stores!
How Sweet It Was is filled with clothing and accessories from the 1870’s to 1970’s! You could find a Scarlet O’Hara dress or an outfit from the Brady Bunch. They even sell items for around the house, such as linens and tablecloths. How Sweet It Was also gives you an opportunity to rent their costumes for any event, so you don’t have to worry about spending a whole lot on a fun outfit wish is extra cool!
They are open daily, so check them out, look around and even try on something! You’ll probably leave How Sweet It Was with a piece of history and definitely a smile.
