350 N 4th Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85705
If you’re looking for a ‘cheap thrill’ on 4th avenue, Che’s Lounge is the spot for you. Named after Ernesto “Che” Guevara, this neighborhood bar provides the self-proclaimed best jukebox in town, classic video games, such as Pac-Man and of course cheap drinks.
It’s not really hard to find. All you need to do is walk down 4th and if you see a large crowd squeezing to stay inside, loud music and a bright neon sign, you have found it. Che’s interior is dimly lit with brightly colored walls covered with art. You can immediately feel an ‘artsy’ vibe in the air.
As I mentioned before, the cheap drinks are seriously cheap. The classic beer PBR, a standard here, is only $1 and comes with free bowls of snack mix. They are open Monday- Friday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. On Saturday nights, you can catch some live music and other days the jukebox takes over.
Che’s is just a great place for a relaxed environment to hang out with friends. The bar attracts a variety of different people from locals to college kids, so you may make friends with different people!
The catch with Che’s though, is that it does get crowded, so if you’re looking to grab a seat at the bar or at a table, you may want to get there early.
Bottom line: Che’s has great music, cheap drinks, friendly service and plenty of entertainment for you and your friends!
