Walking down Tucson’s eclectic 4th Avenue, you’ll soon find yourself stumbling upon one of this town’s many hidden treasures, Café Passé.

This quaint bistro features delicious espresso drinks and adult beverages as well as tons of yummy food options to satisfy any palate.

The décor is reminiscent of a small European café complete with a patio that, in September of 2011, Best of Tucson named the “Best Outdoor Patio to Enjoy All of Your Vices.”

For breakfast, you’ll find various bagels with everything from lox to veggies as well as delicious egg plates and oatmeals. The lunch menu consists primarily of authentic panini of all varieties as well as many different salad options. For the vegetarians out there, Café Passé is an excellent choice as they have tons of vegetarian (and organic) options to choose from.

The good people at Café Passé are always trying to support local businesses, they are long-standing members of 4th Avenue’s Food Conspiracy Co-op where they make daily purchases of organic groceries.
Each week, the café composts over 200 pounds of coffee grounds and produce a order to keep up with their green efforts. This composted material is then donated to a local farmer who then turns around and sells his produce at the community food bank’s farmer’s market.

Before heading down to 4th Avenue, be sure to check out the Café Passé website for their events calendar as they are well-known for their live entertainment. If you’re in the mood for some good jazz music and one of the best cups of coffee you’ve ever tasted, this is definitely the place for you! The quaint ambiance with the fountain, string lighting and record player would make this a great place for a date or to enjoy the company of a friend or loved one.

They also have free wifi and different sized tables making this an ideal place for work and study. Cafe Passe is a Tucson gem indeed.
